In addition to lying, Russell continues to use his city council position as a campaign prop.

Look, I get why the city council in Washougal goes along with Russell. After all, they believe that there's a better chance of getting rid of this clown if they give him what he wants.

In that regard, it's not surprising that they do moronic things like worthless resolutions that will make absolutely no difference in anything but to give someone tearing down trust in government a stage to desperately change the message away from his own lies and exaggerations.

What you DON'T see is him leading the effort to do a Woodland-type resolution supporting the Arizona law... an discussion that Russell couldn't even be bothered to show up for.

We can bet we'll now be deluged with letters to the editor spinning Russell's lies and exaggerations. But at the end of the day, Russell is a liar and a serial exaggerator... and NO amount of bogus, "hooray for me" resolutions can change that.

  1. Jon is about 50 years or more too late in his campaigning style. The Huey P. Long method doesn't work all that well with conservatives today.

He is so far behind Ann Rivers and Dennis Kampe that the only way he can catch up or win now would be for both to drop out.

Let's just say all of is machinations amount to little more than an exercise in futility.

Maybe he'll get lucky and Jaime Herrera will campaign with him.
