This one's kind of a hoot: Russell's illegal political use of a church, and...

...an invitation to a "Primary Election Night Prayer Time."

OK, we all know that churches cannot be used for political purposes. Russell, who seems to view the law of this land as a series of mere suggestions, has arranged the illegal use of the Camas Assembly of God.

By law, it is illegal for churches to engage in political campaigning.
Under the Internal Revenue Code, all IRC section 501(c)(3) organizations, including churches and religious organizations, are absolutely prohibited from directly or indirectly participating in, or intervening in, any political campaign on behalf of (or in opposition to) any candidate for elective public office.
Given that this function is exclusive to the Russell Campaign, amounts to a campaign function listed on Russell's campaign Facebook page and not open or extended to all campaigns, this is unarguably illegal and puts the Church's tax exempt status at risk.

All of that aside, though, one has to wonder: Will alexisclassic (Steve Jones), wapathub (Gary Wiram) and teacherjudybanks be invited?

Well, since Banks is likely Russell, I'm fairly sure that the answer to all of those questions is "yes."

They certainly deserve each other.
