So... why is Jon Russell using the seal of the City of Washougal for political purposes?

Russell's been running a couple of empty-suited sock-puppets to try and pack the council. From his "Community Page about Washougal, Washington" is first, his mug shot with the city seal on it, and then second, this:



Notice the Seal of the City of Washougal covering part of Russell's picture?

Kind of infers city approval for his babble.

And that's not right, is it?

    The bigger question is why does the City of Washougal allow this? And that is the same question people all over the city have been wondering- why do they let this young pup get away with what he has been doing???

    I am told the city has already received inquiries about this and may be doing an investigation on the matter? can this be verified? Leave it to Jon Russell to think he is above all and cost the city money on this lame-brain grab.

    So, can I just call the city or show up at a council meeting to see if this is legal or if they are really investigating it? I think this is really nutty of him. I thought it was illegal to use city stuff to campaign?

    Presumably, during open comments at the city council meeting the issue could be brought up and the city attorney could weigh in on the legality.

    It was brought up at the work shop last night along with a few other nasty stunts by our Russel, McDainles, Delevar and Shoemaker clan. Way to go councilman Morris! Make them accountable!

    You might check at city hall. I understand an investigation has been started after complaints came into the city.

    Maybe the state auditors are coming back in to see if this little twerp is breaking laws?
